What to use for multistep(wizards) in 2016?

Hey Chris,

As of July 2016 what gem/solution would you use to create multistep forms? I have found a couple of solutions but couldn't decide what to choose. They kinda seemed a bit obsolete. It's also hard to decide if I should use some kind of state machine solution. Do you have some best practices?

Hey Szilard -

Wicked wizard is still the best solution that I've seen out there - it works with Rails 5.0, however you'll probably find that the documentation is a bit old.

@grow a garden I agree in the post!

Alright, multistep forms, a thorny issue indeed! Ugh, wading through obsolete gems is the worst, isn't it? State machines...intriguing but potentially overkill. What's the Goldilocks solution here, not too clunky, not too fragile? Finding the right fit feels like threading a needle. I remember wrestling with a similar beast when building an onboarding flow. Man, getting those dependencies lined up correctly felt harder than beating a level in @geometry dash.
