Want to run Cypress.io tests in multiple platforms and browsers

I'm reading about Cypress and its limitations in many forums and blogs for quite a long time. Most of the posts talk about the missing ability to test cross-browser and cross-domain. Maybe it's time to create standalone tests runner, which is capable to run Cypress tests. But there are solutions like Nightwatch or Testcafe, so the question is:

Is there someone who really wants it or it does not matter because there are other tools?
